What is India's rank in the world according to the Global Peace Index (GPI), 2018?

1. A

   136th

   (a) 136th. The Global Peace Index 2018, from the Institute for Economics and Peace, ranked India 136 among 163 countries. That stored rank is the official key. Iceland led; Syria sat near the bottom.

2. B

   137th

   (b) 137th. One-thirty-seven was India’s 2017 GPI slot, a neighbouring year, not the 2018 key.

3. C

   138th

   (c) 138th. One-thirty-eight is another near integer, not the 2018 Indian rank.

4. D

   134th

   (d) 134th. One-thirty-four is too high (more peaceful) relative to the stored 2018 letter.

Summary. Official key is (a) 136th. GPI 2018 placed India at 136 of 163. The 2017 rank of 137 is the usual trap. Iceland was first; the index scores militarisation, society safety and ongoing conflict. Honour 136 for this paper.
