  • Under the Bonn Challenge commitment to restore 26 million hectares of degraded land by 2030, India has brought 21.76 million hectares under active restoration.
  • India updated its carbon sink target to create an additional sink of 3.5 to 4.0 billion tonnes of CO2 equivalent by 2035 relative to 2005 levels.
